Warwick Nicholson Police & Crime Commissioner for North Wales
Warwick Nicholson Police & Crime Commissioner for North Wales
Thank you to everyone who voted for me on the 15th November. And all who helped with my campaign.

What I stand for:
As Your UKIP candidate, I am standing for Police & Crime Commissioner (PCC) in these elections because, although I believe there should be proper democratic control of the police through elected Police Boards, I also think the new PCC should be:
A member of the community, not just another career politician.
Tough on crime, including the low-level nuisance and anti-social behaviour that
blights neighbourhoods and leads to bigger trouble.
Determined to re-connect the police with the people and their communities.
I believe in sentences that mean what they say; more effort to prevent repeat offending; and police priorities that focus on solving real crimes, rather than ‘soft targets’.
UKIP: the party defending British rights and justice
The UK Independence Party believes that Britain’s long-established rights and system of justice are the best in the world, and need to be preserved.
We oppose the imposition of European laws, and threats to cherished British traditions such as:
Habeas Corpus – the right not to be locked up without charge.
Innocent until proven guilty – by a jury of your peers, not a professional magistrate.
Community-based magistrates who understand and reflect local society.
We believe that the UK must:
Stop letting the European Court of Human Rights tell us what to do, like giving votes to prisoners.
Deport foreign criminals, and not let them back in.
Refuse to accept European Arrest Warrants, European Investigation Orders, Euro Police or a new European Prosecutor.
Keep control over our own justice and home affairs, which the EU is trying to take over.
In 2014, our government has the chance to opt out of the EU’s new Justice and Home Affairs rules, that would give the EU power over us in 130 areas of law. It must not fail to take it.
Your UKIP Commissioner will work for:
More Police Officers on our streets.
More Special Constables, rather than powerless PCSOs.
Zero tolerance of the anti-social behaviour that leads to more crime.
Giving local people a say in local policing priorities
and
No soft treatment of police misdemeanours: police officers deserve protection from anything that undermines their integrity
Stop the War against motorists. Speed Cameras only in blackspots where speed related deaths have occurred, and NOT on blind bends as a way of raising revenue.
